How to Pair with Your Workout Partner
Linking with your gym partner is simple. One of you generates a short 6-letter code, the other types it in, and your accounts connect instantly so you can see each other’s workouts and cheer each other on.
Can I Use TwoLift Solo (and Add a Partner Later)?
Yes! You can use TwoLift entirely on your own. All of your workout tracking, routine creation, and personalized coaching work perfectly with or without a partner.
Programs
How to Create a New Workout Program
TwoLift makes it easy to set up your training schedule. You can let the app build one for you in 10 seconds, pick a classic gym routine, copy your partner’s schedule, or build your own from scratch.
How to Import a Program from a Photo, PDF, or Spreadsheet
You don’t have to type in your workouts by hand. You can snap a photo of a whiteboard, take a picture of your notebook, or upload a PDF, and TwoLift will read it and build your routine for you.
How to Copy Your Partner’s Workout Routine
Want to do the same workout routine as your gym partner? You can preview their workout days and copy the whole schedule into your app with one tap.
How to Create a Custom Exercise
If your gym has a unique machine or you do a specific exercise variation that is not in the list, you can add it in seconds and track it like any regular movement.
Workout Logging
How to Set Custom Rest Timers Per Movement
Set different rest times for different lifts—like 3 minutes for heavy squats and 60 seconds for arm curls. You can set a global default, or press and hold any exercise timer directly in your workout to customize that movement.
How to Log Drop Sets and Rest-Pause Sets
Doing drop sets or rest-pause sets? Tap any set number to turn it into an intensity set. TwoLift groups them together cleanly with a colored side stripe so you can tell them apart from normal sets.
How to Pair Exercises into a Superset
A superset is when you do two exercises back-to-back with little or no rest in between (like bicep curls followed immediately by tricep pushdowns). TwoLift boxes them together so they are easy to follow.
How to Substitute an Exercise During a Workout
If someone is using the bench press or your shoulder feels cranky, you can swap the movement on the fly. You choose whether you are swapping it just for today, or updating your routine for good.
AI Coach
How to Enable AI Coach Mode and Customize Coaching Style
The AI Coach is your smart workout copilot. It looks at how you lift and suggests when to move up in weight or when to take a rest week. You are always 100% in charge—the coach suggests, but never forces.
How the Pre-Workout Readiness Check-In Works
Before your workout, a quick 15-second screen asks how your body feels today. If you have an achy shoulder or feel exhausted, the coach gently adjusts today’s weights so you can train safely without hurting yourself.
